userspace: remove vestigial '?' cases from top-level getopt(3) loops getopt(3) returns '?' when it encounters a flag not present in the in the optstring or if a flag is missing its option argument. We can handle this case with the "default" failure case with no loss of legibility. Hence, remove all the redundant "case '?':" lines. Prompted by dlg@. With help from dlg@ and millert@. When system calls indicate an error they return -1, not some arbitrary value < 0. errno is only updated in this case. Change all (most?) callers of syscalls to follow this better, and let's see if this strictness helps us in the future.

Just like in mesg(1) in biff(1) we just need to push down pledge(2) a little bit to get the tty name. After this we can unveil(2) the tty with rw access in order to stat(2)/chmod(2) it, once this is done we can put back the same pledge(2) just right afterwards. OK deraadt@

biff, mesg, vi: only consider ACCESSPERMS for setting tty mode. it explicitly removes any S_ISUID|S_ISGID|S_ISTXT bits, instead of letting pledge(2) silenciously remove them. ok beck@ deraadt@

rcsid[] and sccsid[] and copyright[] are essentially unmaintained (and unmaintainable). these days, people use source. these id's do not provide any benefit, and do hurt the small install media (the 33,000 line diff is essentially mechanical) ok with the idea millert, ok dms

Pull in patch from current (even more to come): Fix (millert): warnx?/errx? paranoia (use "%s" not a bare string unless it is a constant). These are not security holes but it is worth fixing them anyway both for robustness and so folks looking for examples in the tree are not misled into doing something potentially dangerous. Furthermore, it is a bad idea to assume that pathnames will not include '%' in them and that error routines don't return strings with '%' in them (especially in light of the possibility of locales).
