rcs_buf_set(), rcs_buf_append, and rcs_buf_fappend should not return
ssize_t.  The return values aren't usually checked anyway.

Also remove unnecessary casts and improve type usage.

This form allows you to request diff's between any two revisions of a file. You may select a symbolic revision name using the selection box or you may type in a numeric name using the type-in text box.
