           USB works; at least, I plugged a digital camera in, and the <b>ugen</b> driver detected and configured it.<p>
   
           I could not get the built-in modem to work.<p>
   
           The pcic is broken in this machine, so I cannot accurately comment on PCMCIA attach/detach.<p>
