                     46: The LUNA workstation family was manufactured by
                     47: <a href="http://www.omron.com">OMRON corporation</a> in the early 1990s.
                     48: After several models based upon the Motorola 680x0 family,
                     49: the last designs were multiprocessor systems based upon the
                     50: Motorola 88100 processor.

                     53: Kenji Aoyama wanted to run a modern operating system on his LUNA-88K2 and
                     54: eventually got tired of waiting for someone else to do this effort, so he
                     55: started to merge the
                     56: <a href="http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/luna68k/">NetBSD/luna68k</a> device
                     57: support with the
                     58: <a href="mvme88k.html">OpenBSD/mvme88k</a> hardware support in January 2002.
